ACCESS CONTROL

Access Control
People might think of access control as
expensive, that only large corporations
have this technology. This is no longer
the case. Proximity cards, as they are
known make entering doors easy.
Proximity cards allow access by
presenting the card at the reader
normally located close to the door, thus
making it easier for users to not have
to struggle with keys. In the event of
one card being lost or stolen, the card
can be removed from the system rendering
it useless, and just as easy a new card
can be issued.

Some proximity cards are
waterproof.
Company logo and user ID can be printed on the
cards.
Proximity cards can also be used to control Lift
level access, with specified users only being
able to use the lift car during hours or by day
specified, Lift access control can provide free
travel access during business hours and secure
access after hours.
In conjunction with using this technology users
can opt to have computer management software
installed to control the system with ease. This
software will also log user movements and
produce audit reports to review security.
Fail safe systems are also incorporated into
this technology incase of power failure and
systems failure, ensuring a safe and transparent
operation.
